Shawn Mendes Causes Internet Frenzy by Admitting He Doesn't Wash His Face

Although Shawn Mendes receives well-deserved praise for his hit songs and excellent stage presence, you can't deny that a part of the singer's massive popularity has to do with his good looks.

With a full head of hair, rock-hard abs and an infectious smile, Mendes is the man of a lot of people's dreams. Surely, though, there has to be a lengthy process to look as handsome as Shawn does when he makes a public appearance. But turns out, that's not entirely the case.

Speaking to fans at a Q&A, a Mendes Army member asked the singer about his skin care routine. Shawn surprisingly responded that he doesn't even have one! “I’m not lying when I tell you guys that I don’t wash my face," he said. "I meditate a lot. I think skin is very based on how you’re feeling. You could rub dirt on your face & if you’re happy, you won’t break out!”

Of course, his response shocked many, as no one believes you can have perfect skin without some sort of routine.

For others, the idea of Shawn just waking up with clear skin is so unfair.

However, some fans have pointed out that there are photos out there of Mendes wearing a face mask, somewhat disproving his claim he doesn't have a skincare routine.

Maybe Shawn meant to say he just doesn't wash his face regularly, because admission that he doesn't do so at all is...sort of gross.

There's a great chance Shawn actually has an elaborate skincare routine--which involves washing his face--but is just refusing to reveal what it is. But whatever he does to keep his skin as clear as it is, it's definitely working.
