Sofia Richie Reveals How She Really Feels About Scott Disick Dating Backlash

Sofia Richie has been growing up right before our eyes, and the model is maturing into a remarkable young woman. What's the evidence for this, you ask?

Well, Sofia and Scott Disick, ex-boyfriend to Kourtney Kardashian, have been together now for over two years. With the internet being what it is, people have thoughts to share about their 15-year age gap, and these can be hurtful, especially towards Sofia. But the daughter of Lionel Richie doesn't pay any attention to all of that negativity. While speaking to Cosmopolitan, the 21-year-old star said of the backlash, "[It] doesn't bother me because I'm very happy. Why would I let someone from the middle of nowhere ruin that for me?"

Sofia stressed that she doesn't care what people think, and this attitude has enabled her to move forward. Apart from the usual harassment a celebrity couple gets (especially when running in the same circles of the Kardashian-Jenners), their age difference has been the main source of contention. Even Sofia's father was reportedly wary about their relationship at first, with a source telling E! News this past December, "Lionel has accepted their relationship but still isn't entirely 100 percent on board with Scott mostly because of the age difference and how young Sofia is." However, her Cosmo feature does note, "And not that it’s anyone’s business, but yes, her parents are fine with Sofia dating Scott."

In terms of Scott co-parenting with Kourtney, Sofia is perfectly accepting of the situation. She said of her relationship with the mom-of-three, "I mean, just be nice. There’s no reason not to be nice."

What a great attitude to have! And we're totally impressed that this attitude of warmth and acceptance is coming from someone who's only 21 years old. Way to go, Sofia!
