In 1998, Sonja was married to John Adams Morgan, 33 years her senior and a descendent of the J.P. Morgan line. John proposed to her on their first date, but whatever romantic connection they once had, it didn’t last. The two divorced in 2006. While some allegations flew around on RHONY that Sonja had cheated, there’s never been any public proof to back that up. Sonja told the The Daily Beast, “My breakup is pretty boring. We were in love and then we broke up. There was no drama.”

The reality star has one daughter with her ex-husband. According to Bravo, Quincy Adams Morgan started her freshman year at the University of Pennsylvania in 2019.
