Sadly, one of Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas’ dogs reportedly died in a heartbreaking “freak accident” this week.

TMZ reports that the dog, named Waldo Picasso, was being walked on a leash by their dog walker in lower Manhattan on Wednesday when the dog “got spooked” by a nearby pedestrian, broke free of the leash, ran into the street, and was struck by a vehicle. A representative for Joe referred to it as "a freak accident."

TMZ states in a more recent story that the driver who struck and killed the Alaskan Klee Kai did not stop or leave any information after the collision. Sources say that the driver will likely not be charged with Waldo's death because the dog is considered property, and the incident is viewed as an accident.

Sophie and Joe adopted Waldo in April 2018. Joe originally adopted Waldo’s brother, Porky, for Sophie, and then the couple decided to adopt Waldo afterwards.

Joe was seen walking Porky the day after the incident. It is unclear if Porky was present at the time of the accident.

Neither Sophie nor Joe have publicly commented on the accident, as they are likely taking time to privately grieve the loss of their furry friend.
