Sophie Turner Met Up With Alex Morgan at the MTV VMAs to Sip the Tea

When the Queen in the North tells you to sip the tea, you best sip the tea.

Alex Morgan ran into Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner at the MTV VMAs last night, and the two finally got to snap a proper picture of them together having their long-awaited “tea," Insider reports.

Turner posted the photo on Instagram, along with a pic of her award-winning hubby, Joe Jonas, as well as a shot with Lizzo, with the caption, “OMG CONGRATULATIONS @joejonas @nickjonas @kevinjonas… here are a few of my favorite moments from tonight! #THATSTHETEA #Lizzoisqueen.”

Morgan also shared the photo on her Instagram Story with the caption, “She made me. I do what the queen says.” We get it.

For those that don’t know, Morgan caught some criticism in July when she celebrated a shot in the Women's World Cup semi-final against England by pretending to sip a cup of tea.

When trolls started calling her a “poor sport” on social media, Morgan defended herself, explaining that the move was inspired by Turner’s signature move of sharing “juicy” details with fans and then saying, “And that’s the tea,” while sipping a cup...usually full of wine.

At the time of the controversy, Turner was hiding away on her honeymoon, but after hearing about the unfair treatment of Morgan, she resurfaced on Instagram to stand by the athlete. Turner stated on her story, “I'm honored that you thought of me, and all those people who are hating on you are probably sitting-at-home millennials drinking kombucha, and I'm really f**king proud of you, Alex Morgan. Congratulations on your win, and that's the motherf**king tea.”

We're so happy the pair finally got to hang out.
