'Spider-Man: Far From Home' Runtime Completes the MCU's Adorable Tribute to Iron Man

Spider-Man: Far From Home will hit theaters next week, and the long-awaited film is expected to cap off Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This week, amidst the reveal of more and more information about the film, Far From Home’s runtime was finally revealed, providing confirmation to a long-suspected theory that it would be a tribute to Iron Man’s “I love you 3000” line from Avengers: Endgame.
Per ComicBook.com, the film’s runtime clocks in at 129 minutes, which isn’t particularly noteworthy on its own--until it’s tabulated with the runtimes of every other MCU film thus far, which clock in at 2,871 minutes, adding up to a grand total of 3,000 minutes.

Since Avengers: Endgame’s release, I love you 3000” has become a popular line among fans and tagline for the film. In fact, the quote reached such an iconic status that it serves as the caption on the limited edition poster that Marvel Studios will sell alongside its re-release of Endgame.
As we previously reported, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige recently said that Far From Home will culminate much of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to this point, particularly the relationship between Peter Parker and Tony Stark.
“As we were working on Endgame we realized that the true end of the entire Infinity Saga, the final film of Phase 3, had to be Spider-Man: Far From Home, because--spoiler--we lose Tony Stark at the end of Endgame,” Feige explained during a press junket for the Spider-Man sequel. “The relationship between Peter Parker and Tony Stark is so special over the five films that Tom Holland has portrayed Spider-Man in the MCU, that we needed to see where his journey went.”

“Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home are essentially two pieces of the same story, and it's not over yet until Spider-Man: Far From Home,” Feige added.
