Yoda is standing up in support of Black Lives Matter!

As actress Yvette Nicole Brown, who was actually a voice actor for Lego Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures, shared on Twitter, someone altered a Yoda statue in an unspecified city to support the BLM movement. "Matter black lives do," the bottom of the statue now says. "My dude! Even Yoda gets it!," Yvette wrote when sharing the inspirational photo.

One of the stars of the sequel trilogy, John Boyega, also shared a photo of the statue, as did Star Wars legend Mark Hamill.

After seeing the photos of the impromptu update to Yoda's statue, fans were loving it. "Master Yoda is very wise," one person commented. "Yes Yoda on our side it's over," another said. "May the force be with us in these tough times," a third Star Wars fan said.

The Star Wars community as a whole has been vocal about the death of George Floyd and the protests that have followed. As we previously reported, Boyega made headlines with his powerful speech at a BLM protest in his hometown of London, where he stated that speaking out against racism was more important than his career. He was soon flooded with support from fellow actors, fans, and even Lucasfilm, who made a statement in which they called him a "hero." And as ScreenRant reports, Hamill has voiced his opinion on multiple occasions. In addition to co-signing a video showing a protester playing the Imperial March while police officers walked by, he shared a piece of BLM street art to his Instagram page.

As countless people fill the streets of America and beyond to protest Floyd's death and countless other black men and women, the Force is certainly with them.
