The Star Wars universe's latest television endeavor, The Mandalorian, has reportedly been renewed for a second season before the show has even debuted.
HN Entertainment reports that Disney was gunning for a second season of the show, which will stream on their upcoming service Disney+. Very little is known about the premise of the first season, with the only information released being that it stars Pedro Pascal as a bounty hunter alongside actors such as Werner Herzog and Nick Nolte. Taika Waititi and Bryce Dallas Howard will also contribute as directors.
“After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe," HN Entertainment states. "The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.”
With this series, in addition to the release of Episode IX in December, there are lots of things for Star Wars fans to be excited about in 2019.
