Stellan Skarsgård to Join Cast of Cassian Andor 'Star Wars' Live-Action Series on Disney+
The live-action Star Wars shows from streaming platform Disney+ just keep getting more star-studded. From the reported casting of Rosario Dawson as Anakin Skywalker's apprentice Ahsoka Tano in Season 2 of The Mandalorian, to Ewan McGregor slated to reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in his own spin-off, I am counting the days for new Star Wars content.
Another much-anticipated series coming to Disney+ will focus on Cassian Andor, a Rebel agent first introduced in the film Rogue One, the film which chronicles the mission to steal the Death Star plans from an Imperial base. Diego Luna is set to reprise his role as Andor, with Alan Tudyk slated to return to his role as K-2SO, Andor’s blunt droid sidekick. And, as reported by Variety this week, Stellan Skarsgård and Kyle Soller are also set to join the cast of the show.

Marvel fans will recognize Skarsgård from his role as Dr. Erik Selvig in films like Thor and The Avengers, while Soller is known for roles in films such as Fury and Anna Karenina. According to Variety, both actors are still in final negotiations for their roles.
The Andor-focused series is reportedly a “spy thriller” that takes place prior to the heroic and heartbreaking events in Rogue One. Although there is no word on a release date for the show, it will definitely be interesting to see another side of the Star Wars universe that it will bring.
