While Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard is most known for his role as Mike Wheeler, the Canada-native already has a varied career for a 17 year old. Along with being an award-winning actor, Wolfhard has been the lead vocalist and guitarist for a rock band, starred in the remake of Stephen King's It, voiced Pugsley Addams in the animated film The Addams Family, and has served as the director on numerous projects of his own.

The Guardian recently interviewed Wolfhard to discuss the pressures of fame, how he's handling the coronavirus pandemic after it caused production on season four of Stranger Things to come to a screeching halt, and what he thinks about the immense success and impact the show has had. The actor also opened up about how he abstains from drugs and alcohol despite his stardom.

“If I were in the same boat in, let’s say 1990, I think it would be different,” Wolfhard said. “But because there are so many rules to keep children safe now, you know? Ask my co-stars. None of us have ever been in the position where, like, we’re at an uncomfortable party being served drinks… Don’t get me wrong, it happens. It depends on the person. But the environment I’ve grown up in has been very positive.”

It's nice to see such a young actor address the dangers of drugs and alcohol abuse. However, he did reveal a few vices. “I say the word ‘Like’ a lot,” Wolfhard added. “And I eat like s**t. I still eat like a four-year-old, which is not a good thing when you’re constantly traveling and feeling crappy because of your diet.”

The rest of the interview is wonderful, so you should go check it out, or you can read up about the "cool" guest stars set to appear in Stranger Things season four here.
