'Stranger Things' Season 3 Might Finally Give Eleven a Birthday
By Olivia Montine
One of Stranger Things’ most important characters is also its most mysterious. Though the bulk of the details surrounding Eleven's past are still shrouded in secrecy, a new theory has us hoping that we'll get to learn one important detail about Millie Bobby Brown's character: her birthday.
Screen Rant recently posted a theory that an episode in the upcoming season titled “The Birthday” could be about Eleven recalling and celebrating her birthday with her friends—a seemingly normal rite of passage for any teenager, but one that has not yet been explored in the series for Eleven. While it's possible that "The Birthday" in question could belong to one of the other characters, it seems unlikely that that would be the monumental event to which the Duffer brothers would want to devote an entire episode. Then again, this is Stranger Things—where we're sometimes in the Upside Down.
Eleven's birthday isn't the only detail fans are hoping to see spilled in season 3; the introduction of more test subjects like Eleven and the recently introduced Eight is another plot point audiences are hoping for, as well as some additional backstory on the entirety of the Hawkins lab experiment cases. If there's an Eleven and an Eight, it would only seem logical that there are some other gifted teenagers out there as a result of the experiments. Will we meet them?
Fans will have to wait until July 4, 2019, when Stranger Things returns to Netflix, to find out.
