'Supergirl' Season 4 is Now Available on Netflix

The CW's Supergirl Season 4 was arguably the most action-packed so far for the beloved series. Kara Danvers was faced with some of her biggest challenges both on and off Earth. But thankfully catching up with the latest season won't be a challenge for fans, because it's just premiered on Netflix.
Melissa Benoist, who plays Supergirl, teased before the season premiered that we would see a lot more conflicts betweens the aliens like her and the humans she protects. This came true, as anti-alien protests started to arise.
"The writers' room is being really great this year," Benoist told Deadline before the premiere of Season 4, as reported by ComicBook.com. "Last season, it was a lot of fire and brimstone and a lot of homages to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which was great because I was such a big fan of that show. This season they really want to thematically tackle more topical stories that maybe mirror what's going on with the state of the world and our country. There's a lot of anti-alien sentiment at the beginning of Season 4 that Supergirl is going to have to grapple with. I think their main premise is that fear itself is a villain, and can hope conquer it? Supergirl stands for hope, so we'll see. I think fear is her biggest opponent yet because it's more of a wildfire-type emotion."
Season 4, which premiered its season finale on May 19, also saw the arrival of Superman's arch-nemesis Lex Luthor, played by Jon Cryer. The season's quick drop on Netflix also means fans can now watch all three parts of the big Arrowverse crossover event "Elseworlds," which includes Supergirl, The Flash, and Arrow.
Supergirl Season 5 is set to premiere this fall.
