'Teen Mom 2' Ratings Are Reportedly Still Dropping After Jenelle Evans' Firing
Can Teen Mom 2 keep fans interested without Jenelle Evans?
According to The Inquisitr, a Starcasm report shows that Teen Mom 2's ratings are steadily continuing to decline this season. Reportedly, the season opened with 800,000 viewers, but has subsequently dropped off to approximately 670,000 in people tuning in.
While some who miss Jenelle and Barbara want to jump to the conclusion that Teen Mom 2 is suffering without them, The Inquisitr does point out that the show's viewership was declining even before Jenelle got fired. Not only that, but the show switched from its usual Monday night slot to Tuesday night, which could be inconvenient for a segment of regular fans.
But it does seem interesting that Jenelle was in New York City at the exact same time that the Teen Mom reunion shows were being shot there. Allegedly, there's no definitive confirmation, but reports claim MTV wanted to meet with her. David Eason, Jenelle's soon-to-be-ex-husband, was not in attendance at these meetings and MTV has been very vocal about never featuring David's story again, after he posted homophobic comments on social media and killed Jenelle's dog earlier.
At this point, who knows? Maybe we'll get some more of the drama and excitement that Jenelle brings with her through a return to Teen Mom 2, and hopefully, that would increase the ratings.
