'Teen Mom 2's Chelsea Houska Pays Tribute to Late Friend and Country Star Cady Groves

It's devastating news for the world of country music, as singer/songwriter Cady Groves sadly passed away on May 2. As reported by CNN, the star passed away at her home Tennessee, with the cause of death not yet known. She was only 30 years old.

As tributes from friends and fellow singers started pouring in on social media this week, Chelsea Houska of Teen Mom 2 fame took the time to share a sweet post about the late musician. The mom-of-three was actually friends with Cady, and she reminisced on the last moment she shared with the late star on social media.

As reported by The Sun, Chelsea took to Twitter to mourn the loss of Cady, writing, "So very sad to hear about the passing of @cadygroves ...I’m grateful we unexpectedly ran into each other at a hotel a couple years back, and I was able to give her a big hug [heart emoji]." Fans quickly sent love and support to Chelsea, as well as heartfelt messages for the late singer, with one replying, "Sending thoughts and prayers." Another wrote, "I loved her music. Hope this [reminds all] of us to cherish every moment."

As The Sun points out, this was hardly the first time Chelsea had tweeted at Cady. In fact, at the seemingly beginning of their friendship back in 2012, the MTV star shared an adorable message, writing, "This is going to be a beautiful friendship I can feel it."
