'Teen Mom 2's Jenelle Evans Under Fire for Admitting Her Dog Killed Her Farm Animals
By Kwadar Ray

No one is ever surprised when Jenelle Evans finds herself embroiled in a controversy, but this one is pretty unique.
Since forming a relationship with now-husband David Eason, Jenelle has fully embraced the country lifestyle he comes from. And what says rural America better than farm animals?
The Teen Mom 2 star has gone full farm girl and it actually looks like a decent lifestyle choice. She even has a few chicks.
Well...actually, she had a few chicks. Jenelle's homestead also includes her pitbull, who she revealed on Twitter isn't that fond of the adorable birds. This past Wednesday, the reality star tweeted that she needs a llama due to "predator" issues at her home.
She elaborated in a further tweet, explaining that her dog is the main culprit and killed some of her chicks.
Don’t get a pitbull if you plan on having a #Homestead cuzzzz he just wants our chicks really bad ?

But he was here first sooo ??♀️
With the tweet's ratio of nine retweets and 164 responses, it's needless to say Jenelle's followers weren't pleased with the reality star's poor farming skills.
Lived on a farm, had multiple dogs including pits, and never had an issue. It's called training.

Others were upset the mom-of-three perpetuated the negative stigma against pitbulls.
I have a pit bull and she constantly is checking on our chickens anytime they make noise she runs to make sure they are alright. Also she lays outside the pin all day if we will let her protecting them. Do not blame it on the breed they have enough bad media coverage now as it is

Evans responded to the flood of reactions, explaining that the chicks were free range and her dog isn't the only predator out there, as hawks, snakes and opossums have invaded the farm in the past. However, fans weren't buying her explanation.
Free range doesn’t mean zero supervision. And dogs should not be lumped in with hawks and snakes. Please educate yourself with real research (not internet searches) before trying to pass off your mistakes as true homestead life.

As some of her followers suggested, the real solution to this problem may be for Jenelle to quit the "homestead life" until she learns how to properly care for animals, especially since she's been accused of animal abuse in the past.
