'Teen Mom 2's Kailyn Lowry's Ex Chris Lopez Responds to 'Deadbeat' Claims

Kailyn Lowry's ex-boyfriend, Chris Lopez, is rebelling against the way he has been portrayed on the MTV series Teen Mom 2.

In response to claims perpetuated on the show and on social media that he was not a good father, Lopez posted a picture of himself with his son Lux in his arms, captioning it, "'The deadbeat' they don’t know the journey." He has since deleted the post.

This is the second post of his son that Lopez has put on Instagram in recent weeks, which prior to a picture posted on Easter Sunday was free of pictures of the one-year-old.

Lowry has previously opened up about the tumultuous relationship the two have, referring to Lopez as an "Instagram dad."

"Oh, he posted a picture of him and the baby in my bed, that was when the baby was a month old and he just posted it the other day," the 27-year-old starr said. "Like, please don't be an Instagram dad, because that's what you are."

She also talked about her relationship with him, saying, "Things with [Chris] are horrible. I don't have any expectations whatsoever. I literally don't even know what to think at this point. I can't change his mind. I've walked in my truth."

The problem with social media is it makes it easy for people like Lopez to portray a very specific image to the public--regardless of whether or not that image is accurate in real life.
