'Teen Mom 2' Star Sentenced to Jail in Child Rape Case

Fans of MTV's Teen Mom 2 were shocked in 2017 to hear that one of the recurring characters, Alex Bawek, was arrested after being involved in a child rape case. Radar Online now has the newest update.

Alex, who you might remember as one of the close friends of Chelsea Houska, has been sentenced to six months in jail. He appeared multiple times in the series, as he is married to Chelsea's good friend Brittnee.

Reportedly, Alex was charged with "use of a computer to facilitate child sex crime, child enticement and attempted sexual assault of a child under 16 years of age in December 2017.” Eau Claire County Court confirmed he was found guilty and was sentenced to six months in jail with five months stayed, which according to Radar means, “the sentence is frozen ‘pending further order of the court.’” So, if he complies with the terms, he apparently might not end up serving any jail time.

Alex has been placed on a five-year probation, is not allowed unsupervised contact with minors under 18 (except his own child), and is not allowed access to Internet without previous approval. He will also comply with the Sex Offender Registry and will pay $518 in fines.

A source told Radar that Brittnee planned to stay with Alex when he was arrested. Chelsea has not commented on the case.
