'Teen Mom' Fans Are Outraged as Ryan Edwards Shares Pro-Trump Instagram Post

As much as social media users are obsessed with dog photos, it seems that Teen Mom OG star Ryan Edwards’ last Instagram post didn’t quite make the cut.

PopCulture.com reports that the 31-year-old dad posted a picture of his dog in a “Make America Great Again” trucker hat this week. The father of Bentley, who he shares with ex-girlfriend Maci Bookout, and Jagger, who he shares with wife Mackenzie Standifer, captioned the photo, “Yea he is on the trump train to [sic] bc he is a lot smarter then [sic] most.”

Some fellow Donald Trump supporters commented their appreciation for the photo. One user wrote, “That is one smart dog!! #Trump2020 usus,” while others just focused on how cute the pup is.

However, the backlash far outweighed the the support. Many users simply commented, “Unfollow,” while others were a little more brutal. One posted, “Apparently not IDIOT. Too* than*,” referencing Edwards’ grammar mistakes in the caption. Another stated, “It's gonna be a yikes from me, dawg.”

This criticism Ryan is facing comes shortly after being dragged earlier this year for returning to jail after violating his probation for heroin possession. The reality star later stated on the Teen Mom OG reunion episode that he did so because he was “tired on being on probation."

One user mentioned his colorful past on the Instagram post, commenting, “Tell your puppy to stop worrying about making America great again, and to help you become a great dad in general! The drugs are affecting your dog too! Smh.”

Yikes. We will have to see if Edwards decides to continue sharing his political views in the future, or if this has put a stop to it.
