'Teen Mom's Catelynn Lowell Defends Showing Support to Co-Star Amber Portwood After Her Arrest

Many Teen Mom OG fans aren't in Amber Portwood’s corner right now, so we're not shocked to see that Catelynn Lowell is receiving backlash after sending a supportive tweet to her co-star.

Us Weekly reports that after Lowell tweeted at her friend showing love and support, she received instant criticism from users stating that she is blatantly supporting abuse. One user wrote, “It would be different if Andrew attacked her. But no, She attacked HIM. she made her bed & no one should be supporting her.”
Fans know that users are referring to Amber's arrest earlier this month for allegedly attacking her boyfriend and baby daddy, Andrew Glennon. It's been reported the 29-year-old MTV star hit Glennon on the neck, threatened to commit suicide, and tried to cut a door down with a machete while Glennon was hiding behind it with their one-year-old son James.
I DO NOT condone abuse! I AM supporting a friend In need! That’s what friends are for ??❤️ when I went through all my crazy mental illness stuff my friend helped, me supported me, and loved me!!! And I’m going to do the same!

Catelynn quickly addressed the accusations, tweeting that she doesn't "condone abuse," but rather she's helping a friend.
Though Lowell is catching heat for it, it is good to see that Portwood has a friend in her darkest hour.
