'Teen Mom's Mackenzie Standifer Admits She Didn't Share Pregnancy Photos Because of All the Negativity She Faces
It's no secret that many fans of the Teen Mom franchise aren't big on Ryan Edwards and his wife, Mackenzie Standifer. This all stems from Ryan's relationship with his ex-girlfriend and first baby mama, Maci Bookout, who is one of the main stars of Teen Mom OG. Over the years, the trio have faced their fair share of drama, with Mackenzie even accusing Maci of "exploiting" Ryan over his drug addiction.
So let's just say people don't totally love Mackenzie, but a reveal she just shared on Instagram (per PopCulture.com) is seriously upsetting, and proves that people who are #TeamMaci are crossing some lines.
As you probably know, Mackenzie gave birth to her and Ryan's second child, a baby girl named Stella Rhea Edwards, on Jan. 1. She was flooded with positive Instagram comments, thankfully, from her fans showing her support and love. However, when one person asked why she hadn't been posting updates throughout her pregnancy, Mackenzie got real.
"[T]o be really honest, most of the comments on my pictures are ridiculously mean especially about how I look and how much weight I gain and how ugly I am or how I’m a terrible mother/wife," Mackenzie responded. "I really can’t ever win. I didn’t want to surround myself/deal with that while being pregnant."
Fortunately, people responded to Mackenzie's comment with apologies and support. "[S]o sorry feel that way you look beautiful and love photos," one person wrote, while another added, "I understand completely. Congratulations on your sweet baby girl. She’s perfect."
While many might be on Maci's side on her whole feud with Ryan and Mackenzie, it's never okay to attack a woman's appearance. Just let her enjoy motherhood in peace!
