'Teen Mom's Tyler Baltierra Reveals Dad and Sister Are Sober With Touching Post

Fans of Teen Mom and 16 and Pregnant have watched Tyler Baltierra struggle with his family's addiction problems over the many years. Because of this, the Teen Mom OG star ended up surprising fans on Tuesday, as he shared both his dad, Butch, and sister, Amber, are doing well in their sobriety journey.

The 27-year-old dad expressed how proud he was of his family members.

“Writing this with tears in my eyes because words can’t express the amount of peace & joy I feel in my heart,” Baltierra wrote. “After seeing these two at their lowest & now seeing them sober & steadily climbing, I just can’t say enough how proud I am of both of them!”

Baltierra finished the post by writing, “I am a firm believer that the power of unconditional love in a family can truly transform the dynamic & I’m just so happy to call these two my family...I love you both SO MUCH & I’m SO PROUD OF YOU!!!”

Amber also addressed her sobriety on Instagram.

Tyler has been very instrumental in his dad's journey to sobriety. A Feb. 2018 Teen Mom OG episode showed Tyler flying to help his dad check into drug treatment. Butch said that it was his 10th time seeking professional help for his addiction.

Tyler has also always been open on social media about his own struggles with mental health. In Feb. 2018, the MTV star posted an emotional video, in which he talked openly about his feelings.

"I'm posting this because I think it's important for people to not feel alone in their struggles. We're humans, we're allowed to have bad days, hard times & weak moments," he said. "Don't be ashamed of what makes us humans special. You're loved. You're worthy."

We're happy to see both Tyler and his family in a better place.
