Javen Butler and Shari Ligons made waves during Season 1 of Temptation Island when the couple came onto the dating show to see if their relationship was the real deal. The high school sweethearts ultimately left the island together, even getting engaged. But now, fans of the USA Network series are worried, as it seems the two have sadly parted ways.

Did Javen and Shari From Temptation Island Break Up?

There had been a few rumors going around previously that Shari actually cheated on Javen with Justin Sturm, another contestant on Temptation Island, according to Showbiz Cheat Sheet. But now, both Shari and Javen have been using Instagram to air their dirty laundry, leaving fans sure that a breakup went down.

First, Shari posted a message to her Instagram Story revealing she had been "going through the most pain of [her] life this year," adding that she's "no longer taking verbal, emotional, or psychological abuse."

"Don't feel forced to say in a relationship just because someone guilts you into it," Shari added. Ouch.

Javen then responded, taking his own Instagram Story to post a screenshot of Shari's message and then writing:

"Every couple had its issues, no relationship is perfect. There are ups and downs. I'm not perfect, I am sorry that you have been feeling like this. I love you but I am not holding you here by force. You are smart, strong, and confident. I trust that you learned from your mistakes but, some things take time and don't just go away for some people. [I] am here for you Shari."

Just last month, Javen and Shari spoke to AfterBuzz TV about how well their relationship was working out. "Javen and I are so in sync that I feel it works so effortlessly," Shari gushed. "We don’t have to try to be together, if that makes sense. We just know each other so well that we are like best friends. I know that sounds cliche, but it’s very true."

We wish both parties the best through this tough time—breakup or not.
