She plays Mary-Anne, and she explained her feelings about the role to Metro.co.uk: “I think they did a really good replica [of] the books, except they made this Mary-Anne black. This group is much more diverse and I’m loving it. They have made it really good with this contemporary take on it.” No doubt the series will draw in fans new and old, all eager to learn about this talented new cast.
