The Bachelor Aaron Buerge: Where is He Now?

When Aaron Buerge proposed to Helene Eksterowicz it looked like they might just get the fairytale ending every Bachelor viewer dreams of. Even though the couple broke up shortly after the Season 2 finale, Aaron went on to forge a new love story outside of the show. Here's what he's been up to since 2002.

In 2009, Aaron married Angye McIntosh, a fellow Springfield, Missouri native, who he apparently met in a sports bar. The couple welcomed a daughter, Aven, later that year, and Angye’s daughter from a previous relationship also joined the family. 

While Aaron apparently settled into domestic bliss, there were been some stumbling blocks along the way. According to Insider, he declared bankruptcy in 2011, was accused of fraud in that filing, and had his restaurant business shut down.

Things have looked up since then, and Aaron has been working at his family's banks in Missouri. In 2020, Aaron gave Us Weekly an update. “This has definitely been a busy year for us!,” he told the magazine. “We just finished building our home and merged our family-owned bank with Legacy Bank Trust here in Springfield. We have been incredibly blessed. I continue to remain out of the ‘spotlight’ and continue to focus on my career and family life. I appreciate and cherish the memories I have from my days on The Bachelor.”
