Raven Gates has quite the Bachelor Nation history. She unsuccessfully competed for Nick Viall’s heart on Season 21 of The Bachelor, and in the end, her true love was waiting for her in Paradise. She started dating Adam Gottschalk on Season 4 of the spinoff, and the two have been together ever since.

Raven Gates Now

Raven and Adam are a true Bachelor success story. After meeting on BIP in 2017, they got engaged in 2019. They were all set for a May 2020 wedding when the coronavirus pandemic hit, forcing them to postpone the ceremony.  Still, there’s been time for plenty of Bachelor drama over the course of the engagement: Sitting down with Lauren Zima on Roses and Rosé, Raven made it clear that she would not be inviting former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay to the wedding.

Raven and Rachel have been involved in an enigmatic feud for a while now. The two women used to be good friends, despite the fact that Adam had originally appeared on Rachel’s season of The Bachelorette. But in an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Rachel explained that they had had a definitive split. She didn't explain why.

Raven, on the other hand, told Lauren Zima that she didn’t know what had caused the rupture between her and Rachel. “I tried to reach out to her to either squash it or figure out what the problem was to fix it. She didn’t want to talk to me,” she explained. One thing’s for sure: All that bad blood means there’s no way Rachel will be part of the rescheduled wedding.

So Raven's 2020 has had some bumps in the road. But she did have good news to share at the start of the year. In a lengthy Instagram post, she explained that she had finally been cured of the pain she had been suffering for the past three years, exacerbated by a misdiagnosis. She kept the exact details about her health condition to herself, but apparently a successful surgery means Raven is now pain-free.

She's also keeping a positive attitude on social media when it comes to her and Adam’s life together. Despite the wedding postponement, she shared her excitement about Adam’s 30th birthday and the couple’s move into their new house. "We are staying positive!,“ she posted. "I hope through all of this, everyone is staying healthy and HAPPY.”
