While it seems like The New Mutants might not ever be released in theaters, Marvel is having a bit of fun with the comic, as New Mutants: War Children just gave a clever shout-out to another major franchise.

The movie, which has been pushed back three times now, stars Stranger Things actor Charlie Heaton, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Game of Thrones alum Maisie Williams. And for the latest comic issue, created by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, a Thrones Easter egg was hidden with the character Wolfsbane, who Williams plays in the film adaptation.

As reported by NME, the comic includes an illustration of Wolfsbane sleeping in bed with a book in her arms, which just so happens to be A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin.

As cute as the mini crossover is, it’s still likely not enough for fans desperately awaiting the movie. Though director Josh Boone was signed on back in 2015, it doesn’t look like it’s ever seeing the light of day, with rumors of it debuting just on Hulu or Disney+ going around. With such conflicting reports, even the actors are confused. Back in March, Williams told Rolling Stone that she wasn’t aware of the real release date, bluntly stating, “Who knows when the f**k that’s gonna come out.”

As of now, The New Mutants is scheduled for an April 3, 2020 theatrical release.
