The Glaring 'Game of Thrones' Battle of the Bastards Plot Hole You Probably Never Noticed
By Olivia Montine
The world of Game of Thrones tends to be pretty sealed tight when it comes to plot holes--but fans have apparently found one within the Battle of the Bastards, according to The Huffington Post.
The popular season six battle shows Sansa Stark and Jon Snow head to head against Ramsay Bolton in an end-all, be-all battle that no one is expecting to end well. When Ramsay repeatedly makes threats of his starving dogs, Sansa throws the threat right back in his face when she releases his own starving dogs on him, effectively killing him. The script can be found on the Emmys website, and goes:
Sansa: You haven’t fed them in seven days. You said it yourself.
All the kennel cages are open. Nine lean dogs crouch low and smiling, licking their chops, sniffing the air.
Ramsay: They’re loyal beasts.
Sansa: They were. Now they’re starving.
After Sansa has her moment and leaves Ramsay, fans went back and posed a question--how did Sansa know the dogs had not been fed? She was not in the scene when Ramsay mentioned how hungry they were, so how would she know to use it against him?
While the minor plot hole sparked a debate, it was not significant enough to compromise the love for both the battle and the entire episode.
Fans can look forward to hopefully more revenge and definitely another battle featuring our favorite characters when Game of Thrones returns on April 14.
