The Mountain is Apologizing for What He Did in Latest 'Game of Thrones' Episode [SPOILERS]

The most recent episode of Game of Thrones, "The Last of the Starks," saw one of the most tragic deaths of the season when Cersei Lannister ordered the Mountain, her giant protector, to execute Missandei, Daenerys Targaryen's most trusted advisor. While Cersei relished in her victory, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson—the actor underneath the Mountain's armor—wants fans to know that he's sorry it had to happen that way.

Björnsson, who has played the Mountain since the show's fourth season, issued an apology on Instagram for his character's actions in the latest episode. The post includes a photo of himself alongside Nathalie Emmanuel, who played Missandei, along with the hilarious caption: "So sorry. Cersei made me do it. Hope we're cool!"

Emmanuel also took to Instagram earlier this week to post a heartfelt goodbye to her character and the series, on which she has been a regular since Season 3. "It's been one of my greatest joys playing Missandei of Naath … The quiet and kind translator. A brilliant woman who overcame so much suffering and found herself, her voice … and her one and only love,” the 30-year-old actress wrote.

While we're still heartbroken over Missandei's death, at least she went out with a bang (and a thud)—and chose her last word wisely. Before being beheaded, she simply stated "Dracarys," which is Daenerys's command to her dragons to breathe fire. Or, as Emmanuel tweeted, another way of saying "Burn the bish."
