Sealed with a kiss.

It was a truly unforgettable (and incredibly uncomfortable) moment for fans of The Office when Michael Scott and Oscar Martinez awkwardly locked lips during the Season 3 episode "Gay Witch Hunt." Ever since, some have speculated that the move was an act of improvisation by Steve Carell. Turns out, it was. Watch the iconic scene below in case you need a refresher—or simply a laugh.

According to IGN, nobody saw that kiss coming, not even Nunez. In a 2012 interview with the publication, the actor reflected on the magical moment, saying:

"I was thinking, I can't believe he did it. And then I was thinking, right after that, Of course he did it! And then I was thinking, I hope no one laughs. I hope we can use this. I hope no one laughs out loud. Because I know there's a bunch of gigglers out there, and I thought, I hope it's not a ruined take that we can't use. But thankfully the cameras were on us, so it worked out okay."

Their improv smooch went on to become one of the most talked-about scenes of the entire series. Nunez also told the publication that what keeps people coming back for more is the show's quality, and we'd have to agree. Just knowing small details like this makes our rewatches all the more enjoyable. But now, one question remains: Which kiss at Dunder Mifflin is your favorite?
