Season 2 of The Witcher was confirmed back in November, impressively about a month before the series even debuted on Netflix. While the release date is still too far away to be any more specific than 2021, filming has already begun, according to TechRadar. The cast and crew are on location in Scotland, London, and Eastern Europe.

As Season 2's production is underway, it's just been confirmed that seven new cast members are being introduced. As the official Twitter account revealed, the list is as follows: Yasen Atour as Coen, Agnes Bjorn as Vereena, Paul Bullion as Lambert, Thue Ersted Rasmussenas Eskel, Aisha Fabienne Ross as Lydia, Kristofer Hivju as Nivellen, and Mecia Simson as Francesca.

Fans of Game of Thrones will perk up at the name Kristofer Hivju, who played the Wildling Tormund Giantsbane in the HBO series. His look certainly lends itself well to The Witcher and we are so excited to see him in his new role.

Henry Cavill is, of course, returning in his role as Geralt of Rivia. Freya Allan is also back in her role as Ciri, while Anya Chalotra will continue playing the sorceress Yennefer, and Joey Batey remains as Jaskier.

That's a great lineup for Season 2 of The Witcher!
