Countdown host Rachel Riley is under fire on social media, but she's standing her ground and hitting back at everyone criticizing her.

As reported by the Mirror, the drama all started when the 33-year-old TV presenter took to Twitter to share a selfie of her wearing a t-shirt with the image of Jeremy Corbyn being arrested while protesting apartheid in South Africa. The Photoshopped pic, however, read, "Jeremy Corbyn is a racist endeavour." You can see the t-shirt below.

Rachel received tons of backlash for the proclamation, getting replies such as, "Rachel Riley should apologise for the hurt and upset that she has caused to many whose families and loved ones suffered under the Apartheid regime! The disrespect and lack of care shown to the Anti-Apartheid struggle is truly hurtful." Another person wrote, "Black Twitter has got to be all over Rachel Riley for this latest stunt. Everyone has their views on Jeremy Corbyn. But editing an anti South African apartheid image from the 80s is vile and is a perfect example of White privilege. @Channel4News when will C4 get rid of her?"

People quickly started calling for Rachel to be axed from Countdown. But the star isn't backing down. Taking to Twitter again, she posted, according to the Mirror, "Thanks for all the lovely messages of support, & all the silent supporters who've followed me, means a lot. Shows how counterproductive nasty pile-ons actually are. I made this promise I intend to keep it. If this is the price to raise awareness then sobeit. Lots of love."
