There's Now a Petition to Get Baby Yoda His Own Emoji

Since the release of Star Wars: The Mandalorian on Disney+, fans have been very vocal about their love for “The Child,” adorably nick-named “Baby Yoda” by the fandom. The internet has exploded with memes, GIFs, and even pictures of Baby Yoda tattoos, but now fans are demanding that the teeny green creature be relocated to another mysterious galaxy: emojis.

Entertainment Weekly reports that a fan started a petition this week to make Baby Yoda an emoji. The description of the petition to Apple is as follows:

“Well...this is pretty self explanatory. I think Baby Yoda should be an emoji. He stole our hearts and now I want him to steal our keyboard space. Your friend shares a pic of her new born baby? Respond with a cute little Baby Yoda emoji to show that you think her little rascal is cute beyond words. You’re sick and your mom texts you 'do you want some soup?' Respond back with a cute little Baby Yoda to show her that your thirst for soup is insatiable. Join me into this movement and let your voices be heard. WE WANT BABY YODA EMOJI!!!”

At the time of writing, the petition, which you can find here, has 4,511 signatures and counting. It seems that in a world of trolls, political debates, and Twitter shade, Baby Yoda is the only thing that unites us on the good side of the Force.
