Twitter Imagines How an 'Office' Episode Would Handle Coronavirus Panic
The Office has been off the air since 2013, but fans can't help but wonder how their favorite employees in Scranton, Pennsylvania would navigate present day life. As the world panics about Coronavirus, fans of the show have started to wonder how the fictional paper pushers at Dunder Mifflin would cope.
Mashable posed some questions, such as, "Would Dwight have a safety drill prepared? Would Michael be in a fetal position under his desk? Would Creed be coughing hysterically?" So numerous are the possibilities that there is now a hilarious Twitter threat about them. The first tweet in the "The Office: Coronavirus" thread, posted by user @the_real_bnell, now has more than 400,000 likes.
The tweet, shown above, imagines Michael ignoring any "work from home" memo in favor of being with his Dunder Mifflin peeps, Dwight claiming immunity, Angela donning a straight-up hazmat suit, and Kevin flippantly saying he already has the virus. That tweet was just the beginning, and @the_real_bnell then went on to share a link to a r/DunderMifflin post on Reddit, where you can see a bunch of fan theories about how the characters would react to Coronavirus.
User @the_real_bnell even added to his original post, predicting that Stanley would be far away sipping a margarita on a beach somewhere while the Coronavirus panic ensues (can I just say, relatable). If you have a lighthearted theory about how the characters would be reacting to coronavirus, head over to Reddit to share and see if anyone has similar opinions.
