How Tyler Cameron Really Felt About Clare Crawley's Shady Comments Towards Matt James
After Clare Crawley threw some not-so-subtle shade at Matt James last month, Tyler Cameron is finally speaking out on the matter. Despite being a longtime best friend of Matt's, the reality star still found humor in the situation.
“I laughed. I thought it was hysterical, but I totally feel Clare out on that. You know, I understand where she’s coming from,” the model told Us Weekly. For fans who need a refresher, Clare indirectly accused Matt, who was set to appear on her season of The Bachelorette, of joining the franchise for clout. After finding out he made a Cameo account, she seemingly threw major shade his way.
“If you are doing interviews and creating Cameo accounts before you are even on my season… you are in it for the wrong reason. #dontwasteyourtime,” she tweeted on April 25.
The post seemed to be a clear shot at Matt, and the next day, he made an important clarification. “For those of you who may have missed the message earlier this week, myself and Alex Bachman, my former teammate and current New York Giants wide receiver, pledged all of our Cameo earnings to the Robin Hood Foundation to fight this fight,” he said.
Given the debacle, fans wondered if Matt would even appear on the forthcoming season of The Bachelorette, and according to Chris Harrison, the answer is still likely yes. "As far as I know, [he'll still be a contestant]. I mean, I have not heard anything different," the lovable host told Entertainment Tonight.
Despite having a laugh over the drama, Tyler has his pal's back all the way. “We’re in tough times right now. There are no rules to anything that we’re doing right now. So it’s kind of hard, but I totally hear her and we all kind of know who pointed at what,” he added.
Who knows—maybe with their first fight behind them, Clare and Matt will find love at The Bachelor mansion after all.
