Vanessa Hudgens Responds to Rumors She's Playing DC's Catwoman

A lot of negativity is happening in Batman's circle. For instance, the CW's new series Batwoman has faced sexist backlash before even premiering, and DC fans are starting petitions to keep Robert Pattinson from playing the next Caped Crusader. But one thing fans can all get behind, apparently, is Vanessa Hudgens playing Catwoman.
According to ComicBook.com, rumors started that Hudgens could be the next Catwoman earlier this week, and fans have jumped on board with the idea, even make their own fan art to support it. Hudgens has now responded to the rumors, and she's super down for the role.
The 30-year-old actress took her favorite pieces of fan art found online and posted them to her Instagram Story, which was met with a frenzy from fans. She captioned the photos with, "Okay. Who do I need to talk to make this happen lol #dreamrole."
Hudgens even posted a picture of herself when she was a child dressed in a Catwoman Halloween costume with the caption, "And just to prove how obsessed I've always been with Catwoman. Here's the cherry on top."
If there is going to be a Catwoman anytime soon, it is unknown in what capacity. Fans have speculated she could appear in Matt Reeves' The Batman, or in another DC project.
