VIDEO: Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Share Sweet Moment With Daughter North in New Intimate Interview
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West sat down this week with Architectural Digest to quiz each other about their home, but like any parent knows, they couldn’t do it without at least one interruption from one of their four kids.
In the video below, the musician and the KKW Beauty founder are sitting in their minimalist Los Angeles home when Kim asks Kanye, “What was the inspiration behind the design of our house?” As if on cue, their eldest daughter, North, comes barreling into the frame and onto her mother’s lap. The six-year-old looks adorable, rocking two bun pigtails and a white Juicy Couture jumpsuit that matches the pristine look of the house.
Kanye replies with a grin on his face, “North was the inspiration.” When Kim tells her to go sit on the couch and watch the interview, North responds, “No, this is a good couch,” while jumping up on her dad’s lap.
North makes it clear she isn’t going anywhere by putting a step-stool between her parent’s chairs. Kim then repeats the question, and her hubby reveals:
“Yeah, the kids…in the backyard there were all these stairs and we wanted the kids, or we needed the kids, to be able to ride their scooters or skateboards around without having to stop at the stairs…as many places as I could take the stairs out, I did.”
North also explains that her favorite thing to at this house was dance competitions and cartwheels, as well as finding “HUUUUUGE” crystals in the backyard.
The moral of the video is, no matter how big the swanky, minimalist home, kids still run the show, even for Kim and Kanye.
