VIDEO: Kristen Stewart Reacts to Robert Pattinson's Batman Casting

Everyone has an opinion about Robert Pattinson being cast as the newest Caped Crusader in Matt Reeves upcoming film The Batman, but fans have been particularly interested in what his former Twilight co-star and ex-girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, thinks about the news.

The 29-year-old actor stopped to talk to Variety this week at the Toronto Film Festival, ComicBook.com reports. In the brief interview below, Stewart is asked what she thinks about her former love taking on the role of a superhero.

The newest Charlie’s Angel responds, “Oh man, I feel like he is the only guy who could play that part. I am so happy for him, it’s crazy...I am very, very happy about that. I heard that and was like, ‘Oh man!’ It’s awesome.”

Though things ended between Stewart and Pattinson in a pretty scandalous way, Stewart does seem genuinely excited for her ex. As you might remember, Stewart was caught by paparazzi kissing her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, when she was dating Pattinson. Sanders, for his part, was married.

While not everyone is pleased that an actor once known only as Edward Cullen is taking Ben Affleck’s place as the beloved DC character, it is good to know he has Bella Swan's full support.
