VIDEO: Oscar Isaac Reveals the 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' Scenes He Had the Most Fun Filming
Oscar Isaac, known in a galaxy far, far away as Poe Dameron in the latest Star Wars trilogy, is featured in a behind-the-scenes video from the Rise of Skywalker home video release, where he dishes on the location where he had the most fun filming scenes.
Isaac said that scenes filmed in the desert were the best, but also the toughest, because of all the sand. In the video obtained by Entertainment Weekly below, the Golden Globe winner explains, "It was really exhilarating. For me it was the most fun I’ve had, but it’s a bit challenging because they’d have fans [blowing] as well, so you just have all this sand getting into your eyes. I would go home after some days and just tons of sand would be pouring out of my hair."
According to Men's Health, most of the desert scenes were shot in the Wadi Rum desert, located in southern Jordan. With such exposure to the sand, it's no wonder this part of filming was so memorable, for better or worse. Also in the behind-the-scenes video, J.J. Abrams is seen directing Isaac, and elsewhere John Boyega (Finn) and Daisy Ridley (Rey) are around ready to jump in on the action.
The Rise of Skywalker will be released on Digital on March 17, followed by 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD on March 31.
