VIDEO: Robert Pattinson Weighs in on Zoë Kravitz Playing Catwoman Opposite His Batman
It was announced last week that Zoë Kravitz would be joining Matt Reeves’ cast for his upcoming film The Batman. This is the second major casting announcement for the DC movie, as it was revealed earlier this year that Robert Pattinson would be taking on the role of Bruce Wayne himself. But though fans and followers are excited that Kravitz will be donning the cat ears of Selina Kyle, how does the newest Batman feel about the choice?
ComicBook.com reports that the 33-year-old actor chatted with Entertainment Tonight while promoting his newest film, The Lighthouse. In the interview, he finally broke silence on what he thinks of his new co-star.
The Twilight franchise alum enthusiastically replied when asked if Kravitz has the chops to play Catwoman, “Yes! Zoë's great and I've known her for years and years and years. I mean, I've been friends with her for like ten years and she's brilliant."
Pattinson is now in a line of celebrities excited to hear of Kravitz nabbing the role of the femme fatale. Her stepfather, Aquaman star Jason Momoa, as well as former Catwoman actresses, Anne Hathaway, who played the character in 2012, Halle Berry, who starred in the 2004 standalone film, and Michelle Pfeiffer, who took on the role back in 1992, have all expressed their excitement and congratulations to the Big Little Liars star.
Just like Pattinson, we couldn’t be more here for him and Kravitz to face each other on the silver screen. The Batman is slated for a June 25, 2021 release.
