VIDEO: Scarlett Johansson Confirms Black Widow's Definite Fate After 'Avengers: Endgame'

If you were holding onto to hope that Black Widow was still alive in a galaxy far far away (wrong universe, I know, but you get the drift), Scarlett Johansson is here to tell you to let it go. But don’t worry, she explains that we will still find the closure we need to lay Natasha Romanoff to rest in her upcoming film, Black Widow.
The JoJo Rabbit star recently stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about her upcoming projects, one of them being the solo film about the former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent we have been promised for sometime. In the video above, Johansson states of the upcoming movie: (in conjunction to her character’s death in Avengers: Endgame):
“Honestly, it brought a closure to me that I needed, cause I was kind of wiped out after that last one emotionally and literally…There are very few certain things but definitely, death is pretty certain. But, people definitely don't believe it and have tried to convince me that my character did not actually die. That maybe, my character existed in an alternate universe. But no, death is a pretty final thing.”
Though the 34-year-old, who also helped produce the solo Marvel film, might be giving us news we don’t want to hear about Natasha, it is exciting to know that we will get to see more of the super hero’s colorful past in the movie.
Keep your eye out for Black Widow, set to hit theaters May 2020.
