VIDEO: Scarlett Johansson Promises 'Black Widow' Will Give Fans 'Closure'
Avengers: Endgame gave quite a few brutal blows to the Marvel Cinematic Universe family. We lost some characters we had grown with over the years, including that of Natasha Romanoff (a.k.a. Black Widow) played by Scarlett Johansson.
Though Black Widow sacrificed herself for one of the Infinity Stones, fans will thankfully get to see the character again with her own standalone project, set in the time period between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. The MCU fandom may have been a bit worried about how it will all work out, considering we know what is going to happen to Natasha, but luckily Johansson says the movie will give us all the "closure" we need.
ComicBook.com reports that the 34-year-old actress stopped to talk to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet this week for the premiere of JoJo Rabbit. In the video above, Johansson is asked what audiences will get out of the upcoming film. She replies:
“What are we going to get out of the new film? Closure. I mean, I hope so. I don’t know if I can take it anymore without closure. I mean, it’s too exhausting. I love it, I’m so proud of what we made. Now, we get to sprinkle the magic all over it.”
I guess we will have to wait until the movie comes out on May 1, 2020 before we can finally feel better about what happened to Black Widow.
