Sophie Turner already has an amazing career under her belt. From playing Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones, to now starring in her own thriller show on Quibi called Survive, the actress certainly has a lot ahead of her.

Another one of her notable roles includes that of Jean Grey, a mutant with telepathic and telekinetic power, in the X-Men franchise. She debuted as the comic book character in the 2016 film X-Men: Apocalypse and then reprised her role in X-Men: Dark Phoenix, where her character was central to the conflict. As CinemaBlend reminds us, the X-Men franchise is currently in a unique position. Marvel made a deal with Fox which included the acquisition of the Fantastic Four and X-Men, meaning characters from those franchises will likely appear in the next phase of Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Characters such as Wolverine, Professor X, and Magneto might soon be joining the MCU fold, and Turner says she is ready for the superhero team's return.

When the Emmy nominee was asked by Variety in the video below (per CinemaBlend) if she would ever return as Jean Grey, this time in the MCU, she said, “I don’t even know what the deal is, whether Disney wants to continue on the X-Men journey. I would always be down to go back to that character and that cast and that experience… we had the best time on those movies. I would kill to go back.”

There you have it! Hopefully fans will be seeing the MCU ushering in a new era of X-Men, Jean Grey included, in future films.
