VIDEO: Watch New 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' Teaser With Major Rey Twist

As excitement for the upcoming Star Wars installment, The Rise of Skywalker, grows more and more by the day, fans now have something brand new to talk about. New footage from the final film in the Skywalker Saga has been released, and it teases something potentially shocking for one of the main characters.

In a special look clip from the D23 Expo, fans are taken through Luke (Mark Hamill)'s journey from the original trilogy to the end, including unseen footage of Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher), Rey (Daisy Ridley), and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), among other key characters. But the craziest part of the trailer comes just at the end, as we see Rey wielding a red Sith lightsaber. She can't actually be turning to the Dark Side, can she?

Of course, people are already freaking out about it on Twitter.

All will be revealed when Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters Dec. 20, 2019.
