WandaVision, starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Betney, nabbed its fair share of Emmy nominations, so clearly Marvel first foray into television has paid off! Disney + series, WandaVision brought in an impressive 23 nominations! - while The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, nabbed five
WandaVision is nominated for outstanding limited or anthology series, while Elizabeth Olsen - who recently confirmed she secretly wed - is nominated for lead actress in the category for her role as Wanda Maximoff. Paul Bettany earned a best actor nom in the category for playing Olsen’s on-screen husband, Vision. Kathryn Hahn, playing fan-favourite nosy neighbour Agatha, landed a best-supporting actress nomination. (While the Agatha-themed song “Agatha All Along” also earned an outstanding music and lyrics nom!)
Fans on social media were thrilled with the outcome and showed their approval of the nominations online. One particular Twitter user commented on Elizabeth Olsen's nomination and commemorated her "nothing short of spectacular" performance in the series.
