Controversy has followed 13 Reasons Why through its first three seasons, but now that the fourth and final season has rolled around, it feels to fans like the end of an era. The show, which was initially based on the book by Jay Asher, has had time to run through many twists and turns, claiming a scope much wider than the original story. The fourth season promises to bring even more drama.
“In the series’ final season, Liberty High School’s Senior Class prepares for graduation,” the offical synopsis reads. “But before they say goodbye, they’ll have to keep a dangerous secret buried and face heartbreaking choices that could impact their futures forever.” Here’s how to make sure you don’t miss a thing.
Where and When to Stream 13 Reasons Why Season 4
The final season of 13 Reasons Why is slated to drop Friday, June 5 on Netflix. While the show’s creators originally had their hearts set on 13 symbolic episodes, they ultimately settled on making just 10. “It served the story better, and 10 episodes ended up being the sweet spot for us,” showrunner Brian Yorkey told Entertainment Weekly.
The new season will of course feature a familiar cast, but it'll also introduce some fresh faces, including Jan Luís Castellanos as Diego Torres, the leader of Liberty High’s football team. Now we’re just left to wonder how every character, new and old, will play into the resolution of all those Season 3 cliffhangers.
