The 94th Academy Award is fast approaching, and with the nominations announced for the prestigious award on Tuesday, many are wondering who will be the host of the 2022 Oscars?

It's been quite some time since the Oscars has had a host, but after four years the Academy announced earlier this year that they'll be bringing back the role for this year's awards ceremony. Unfortunately, for the moment the host hasn't been officially announced, however, there are several people who have been rumoured to have been approached by the Academy Committee.

Tongues have been wagging among fans and many have offered their predictions, which the Academy has encouraged. On Wednesday, they teasingly tweeted: “Hypothetically, if we asked you who would you want to host the Oscars, and this is strictly hypothetical, who would it hypothetically be?”

While there's no confirmation on who will be given the title, below you'll find the faces rumoured to be in consideration to host the 2022 Oscars.
