Why Fans Think Mike Colter Just Teased the Return of Luke Cage

It's been nearly two months since the cancellation of the popular hit show Luke Cage. The discontinuation of the Netflix series disappointed plenty of Marvel fans.

Luke Cage's cancellation was part of Netflix's decision to discontinue a plethora of Marvel series, including Iron Fist, and more recently, Daredevil.

However, one Marvel show that has survived the recent wave of cancellations is Jessica Jones, which will debut its third season in 2019. And when that new season arrives, there's a chance Luke Cage will make his return to the first live-action show he's ever appeared in.

Yesterday, Jessica Jones lead star Krysten Ritter took to Instagram to share an image with colleague Carrie-Anne Moss. The news was not in the photo, but rather in the comment section.

Mike Colter, who played Luke Cage in the series, commented on the post, "Wow, so familiar. I felt like I was there!"

The comment raises the question of whether or not Colter's character will appear in an episode of the show. If the photo was taken on set and Colter was indeed there, we highly doubt it was just for a holiday visit.

Though this does not mean there will be a return of the series itself, getting more of Colter's Luke Cage would be great to see.
