Why Jeremy Calvert Had to Cancel Date With Leah Messer on 'Teen Mom 2'

It seems that Teen Mom 2 stars Leah Messer and Jeremy Calvert have had yet another setback in their complicated relationship.

OK! Magazine reports that in the most recent episode of the beloved MTV series, Calvert had to cancel their highly-anticipated date night due to his grandfather being admitted to the hospital for health issues.

The parents of six-year-old Adalynn Calvert were married from 2012-2015, and have recently rekindled their romance “casually.” However, the mom-of-three has shown interest in discussing their complicated situation, and possibly taking it to the next step. She asked Calvert to join her and her daughters in Hawaii recently, to which he declined. She since became frustrated with his flakiness in asking her out.

The two revealed they had begun hooking up again after the Teen Mom reunion episode filming, and have since been trying to figure out where they stand in each other’s lives. Messer was thrilled when Calvert finally bit the bullet and asked her out on a proper date. While a medical emergency is a valid excuse to cancel dinner plans, it does leave Messer, as well as her fans, wondering if this is a sign that the two aren't meant to be.
