Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry has no doubt gotten used to criticism over the nine years she has been in the franchise, but when followers get upset about the possible mistreatment of puppies, the wrath is exponential.

The Blast reports that the mom-of-three posted a picture to her Instagram account this past weekend of her holding a brand new Cane Corso puppy. She captioned the image, “& our family grew by one more #itsaboy.”

Though it is a sweet picture of the Pothead Hair Care founder and her new pup, users couldn’t help but notice that the dog’s ears were cosmetically clipped. Thousands commented on the photo, dragging Lowry for alleged animal cruelty.

One follower wrote, “Look at the stitches in that poor pups ears!! Why would you buy puppy who has been mutilated?? He's just a baby.” Another posted, “Look at those freshly chopped ears. That poor baby. But you like the look, right? Doesn’t matter that it hurt him, right?”

The puppy’s ears weren’t the only point of contention for Lowry’s followers. The 27-year-old reality also tagged a breeder in the photo, which made fans upset given the number of homeless animals that need good homes. One user wrote, “Every dog you buy from a breeder, 100 dogs are euthanized in the shelter. Keep supporting back yard [sic] breeders and the problem only grows.”

It seems that Lowry’s little bundle of joy comes with a wave of disapproval from Teen Mom fans. She has yet to respond to the backlash.
