Zendaya Reveals Her Super Strange Fear of Tom Holland Dying in His Spider-Man Suit

Tom Holland has a tough job playing Spider-Man, especially doing most of his own stunts. Not only that, but the suit he wears is carefully attached to the mask so that the look is more streamlined. While this morphsuit-look is great for viewers, co-star Zendaya says she's constantly scared Holland will die in the costume.
It seems a little far-fetched but in an interview with MTV News, as reported by AV Club, Zendaya explains her fear for Holland. Apparently, she's scared that he'll get sick, vomit in the suit and since it's so snugly attached, won't be able to get the mask off in time and suffocate. “I get scared all the time like, what if he’s working so hard that he throws up," she says in the clip below. "And then he can’t— he chokes!”
.@Zendaya and Jacob Batalon don't envy their #SpiderManFarFromHome co-star @TomHolland1996 because... he could puke on himself in the Spidey suit at any time. ? Watch our full interview at https://t.co/v0DNI7FVTl pic.twitter.com/7fAL1QKdrn

Zendaya's fear for her co-star came up because the interviewer asked if she or Jacob Batalon were ever jealous of Holland's action-packed shots and his iconic suit. Batalon's response was that he wouldn't wish that suit on his worst enemy. And considering Zendaya's response, it's safe to assume that no, they are not jealous of his costume in Spider-Man Far From Home.
The fear is legitimate enough apparently that fans are commenting about the hazards of the costume and the need for change online.
The suit designers need to do something about that. There is no reason why wearing that suit should be a safety concern. @TheCW had one of its stars from #Riverdale fall asleep driving back home from the set & crashed. Now they have drivers. Safety first! #Marvel!

Fair point. Maybe Zendaya's fear will lead to some costume changes in the future! You never know.
